Complete redevelopment and refurbishment of an existing lower ground floor apartment in a Victorian mansion block.

This lower ground floor apartment has been completely transformed to set it in line with the standards expected in the area. Thermal performance has been greatly improved through various measures including new between joists insulation, underfloor heating throughout, additional wall insulation and new double glazed sash units to match existing.

Following a thorough review of various options the client opted for keeping the existing small kitchen in its place, but with complete refurbishment and new bespoke units making the best use of every inch of space. Single slab marble backsplashes and a Corian worktops complete the space.

Bathroom floor has been raised to allow for a wetroom set up, with single Carrara marble floor and step complemented by matching detailing and Carrara penny mosaic tiles.

Elsewhere in the apartment new chevron parquet flooring was installed and various elements of joinery and lighting were added for extra storage. The apartment was rewired to ensure access to data and wi-fi in every corner along with full control of atmosphere through dimmable LED lighting.
